I’ve been willing to review this early experimental film for a while, I just couldn’t remember the artist’s name. But after some hours of search on youtube (procrastination time included, of course), I’ve finally found it!
Norman McLaren actually drew the dots by hand in the film, frame by frame.
The soundtrack was built in the same manner. I find the process and the result amazing, being it an early experimental film. The process is shown below:
